Then they went to Quickbooks Online, which I have tried 3x and still dislike it -- it has never been improved, is cumbersome to work with if you are a professional -- a first-time user won't know the difference , and so prefer Desktop.

Before I bought this version, I asked Intuit if I would be forced to subscribe after the first "free" year and the answer was no. I have since learned this is not true, and you will be required to subscribe. Yes, they do periodic updates -- maybe once a quarter??

Everytime I have asked a question, I get bounced to The Community -- comments by other users -- not the tech support that I would think I am paying for.
